S. Emery Fisher


Sidney Emery Fisher, Fisher Farm, Boscawen, New Hampshire. Sidney Emery Fisher received his first Guernsey calf from the Rotary Club as a child, and went on to establish and operate Fisher Farm in Boscawen, New Hampshire. A member of 4-H and FFA, he embarked on a tradition of showing at many fairs around New England with his cattle.

A member of the New Hampshire Guernsey Breeders Association and the New Hampshire, PDCA, he also belonged to the Boscawen Congregational Church.

Sidney and his wife, Maybelle Buzzell Fisher, raised five children on the farm: Sandra Creighton, Debra Lucier, Scott Fisher, Dana Fisher and Karen Fisher. Grandchildren include Beth-Ann Creighton Martin, Aaron J. Creighton, John Lucier Jr., Levi Fisher, Kallie Fisher, Wade Fisher, Emily Fisher and Sydenee Fisher. Most of the family shared his enthusiasm for showing Guernseys and/or pulling oxen, and were members of 4-H.
